最近常提到聖嚴法師
前天從電視上看到他已退位
把法鼓山方丈的棒子交給了徒弟
今天又看到這位老師父的教導
與這位未曾見過面的師父似乎有點緣份
找回自己

真正的自我
應該是能夠主宰自己
能夠差遣、調配、控制
自己的身心活動
自己能夠做得了主
這個才是自我。
應該要向東走
就不會往西去
能夠主宰自己的雙手
去救人、助人、
而不是殺人、打人
也能夠主宰自己的心
讓它生起慚愧心、謙虛心
而不是驕傲心、自大心。
盡心盡力做自己能做的
學自己應該學的
承當自己應該承當的
盡量的付出
從中不斷的修正自己
這就是找回自我最好的方法。

Starting this blog has made me look at myself very closely. Some of the things I see in me surprises me but there are also things which would trouble me. So coming to terms with the real me was what I aimed for. Today I just want to lose this 'me'.

聖嚴法師退位了,以長遠來看,
是很慈悲且智慧的決定!!
為了避免接手的不順手,
為了傳承知識經驗,
為了避免弟子的不安,
無處不見聖嚴法師的智慧用心!
我不會覺得難過,
這個事是必然的,
所以應該做對眾生最好的打算!
就像死亡之於人生是必然,
所以我們應該做對自己最好的打算,
至於什麼是最好的打算,
端看我們自己的智慧了!
處處留心皆學問...
是吧?!

bought it sometime back but yet to finish reading

Thanks for sharing...聖嚴 indeed has done a great job. Oh..he is going to retired.I think eveything will be fine.
reminds me of somes words I've read in 金剛經(禪宗的經典),which has resonated me somehow.金剛經is my favorite 佛經.But don't get me worng .I have only read two 佛經 so far.(haha~) Share some words here with you.
「凡所有相，皆是虛妄，若見諸相非相，即見如來」。
「如來所說法。皆不可取。不可說。非法非非法。」
「汝等比丘，知我說法，如筏喻者，法尚應捨，何況非法。」
「所謂佛法者，即非佛法。」
sorry..I don't know if u can undestantd " these literary chinese language". I don't know how to find the English version
Compared to法鼓山or 慈濟..，somehow I feel that 禪宗 resonatd me more at this life stage. (ps:禪宗是不太鼓勵 "立"文字的，甚至讀經，六組慧能是文盲呢。不過，金剛經是禪宗必讀的經典。)
But anyhow different ways, same goal. :)
